Singlemode pigtail

Bundle pigtail, also known as pigtail bundle, multi-core connector, only one end has a connector, and the other end is a broken end of an optical fiber, connected with other optical cable core by welding, often appears in the optical fiber terminal box, used to connect optical cable and terminal equipment.

Pigtails are divided into multi-mode pigtails and single-mode pigtails. The multi-mode pigtail is orange, has a wavelength of 850nm and a transmission distance of 2.5km for short-distance interconnection. The single-mode pigtail is yellow, there are two wavelengths, 1310nm and 1550nm, and the transmission distance is 10km and 120km, respectively. It consists of 12 pigtails, in order of color: blue, orange, green, brown, gray, white, red, black, yellow, purple, pink, light blue.

Bundles of pigtails are outfitted with aramide-fiber reinforced elements, and then wrapped with a certain flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride sheath, which is widely used in the dense connection between transmission lines and terminal equipment.
